About Joseph

Joseph is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University. He was an Executive Chef for 15 years in Fine Dining and Healthcare including acute and long-term care. He owned and operated HotSoup 412 Catering for 5 years before moving into the long-term care segment. During his time in the healthcare segment he received his CDM/CFPP certification. His diverse culinary and nutritional background is a great fit for Carlow University’s community. During his free time, he enjoys the Pittsburgh Dining scene and anything cycles; from motorcycles to mountain bikes.

About Joel

Joel is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts. His experience reaches across a variety of segments, including K-12, Business and Industry and Healthcare. Most recently, he was the Executive Chef at Heritage Valley Health Systems, with stops in Colorado and San Francisco. He spends his free time enjoying Pittsburgh’s emerging food scene, and spending time outdoors with his family.

About Kalera

Kalera graduated from Pittsburgh Culinary Arts School in 1997 with an Associate’s Degree in Specialized Technology, Restaurant Management and Dining, Hospitality Accounting, Financial Management. After her successful degree she became the Executive Chef for Aladdin Food Service Management. While working here at Carlow University for a little over 3 ½ years she has met and exceeded challenges for an overall great dining experience. She enjoys incorporating tasty menu items to the nutritional menu that brings smiles to the Carlow University Community. She values and pays special attention to what matters most to the Student Food Committee who voice their opinions and provide feedback that helps the staff and her understand exactly what they need.

About Charlie

Charlie is from Baltimore, Maryland who has over 20 years of experience in the food service industry. He has worked in various capacities including as an Executive Chef, General Manager, and in food vendor sales. He graduated from Johnson and Wales University with an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. In his free time he enjoys cheering on the Baltimore Ravens.
